4-0... WEST HAM... WHAT?

Yes that's right, West Ham beat Manchester United 4-0 last night in the 1/4 final of the League Cup. After calls of biased reporting from the De Godenzonen duo due to no instant response on the match, I (Jesse) thought I should just write a little bit to make everyone happy.

I think much to everyone's complete surprise (including Sir Alex Ferguson I imagine) both Spector (ex-united) and Cole grabbed themselves a brace last night, with Spector's in particular marking his first ever goals in the English game despite having played here for over seven years. Clever work from Victor Obinna and smart keeping from our beloved Robert Green must also be taken into consideration as West Ham pulled off a rare show of good football, goals and defensive resilience.

West Ham's overall dominance was intriguing, and yes of course the fact that MUFC were playing a 2nd and 3rd string side must be taken into hand, yet with players such as Giggs, Anderson, Hernandez, Obertan and Fletcher all playing (all with some form of Champions League experience), better could have been expected.
It can simply be seen as a great West Ham performance, and one quite the opposite from United.

For the sake of the side bottom of the Premier League we can just hope this was a sign of better to come, for I can tell you, relegation is not fun.

  2. Carling cup is the poor mans FA cup...
united are top of the league, West Ham are bottom.
Although this was an epic win for the hammers, it is quite irrelivant in Man United;s season and will not be something they dwell about. Sorry Shemie
